Tennis Perfection: A World-Class Court in Your Backyard

A private tennis court nestled amidst a lush meadow. Enclosed by a classic cedar fence painted in a timeless Essex green, this court offers a serene escape for tennis enthusiasts. Check out a bit of the installation process below.

Here’s the view of the location for the tennis court. We had a good bit of open space to work with and we certainly made the most of it.

The area was cleared of all trees and was graded out properly. Prior to the base material being installed, the new septic lines had to be run. These are buried beneath the court.

The forms were then installed with the tension rods and the slab of concrete was poured. The guys on the far side of the picture are adding tension to the cables that run through the slab.

Once the slab cured, the plastic and form boards were removed. The next step was installing the posts for the hitting wall.

The hitting wall and basketball hoop are now up, and the footings and electrical lines are now ready for the 25’ tall light poles.

The court is now finished, soils graded out and the meadow mix is all coming in quite nicely.

This image was taken a year after the tennis court installation began. The meadow mix has all filled in and the bees absolutely love it!
