Laurel House Lighting
I wanted to share some of the lighting selections I’ll be using in Laurel House. My goal with the lighting is to keep an overall classic but slightly granny chic look with some unexpected touches. I’ll be keeping the metal finish mainly to antique brass but mixing in some fabric shades and interesting shapes to keep the look feeling collected and unique.
Clockwise starting from top left:
1.) This sconces with it’s simple shape and metal shade is a classic look perfect for a powder bath or accent lighting.
2.) I love the sculptural leaf shape of this light and plan to use a pair of them in my upstairs mudroom above an antique bench.
3.) This drum shape pendant has the perfect mix of softness and shine. The plan is for this light to hang over our breakfast nook table off the kitchen.
4.) A pair of these classic bell sconces will greet guest and make a nice statement in our front entry.
5.) This star shaped ceiling fixture is going to make a really fun and playful light fixture in our attic den and adjacent guest.
6.) This fluted sconce has the perfect balance of nostalgia while still remaining classic. We’ll be using this fixture in our kid’s bath mounted horizontally above the vanity mirror. This light also looks great in pairs mounted vertically next to a mirror.
7.) This sconce is a classic and I love it paired with this William Morris shade. The plan is to mount one of these on either end of the sink wall in our kitchen.
